For the more adventurous there is a variety of options in and around town. Beautiful hiking trials, quad biking, wine tours, bird watching, horse riding and whale watching is to name only a few of the things to do in Stellenbosch and surroundings. One can also find some of the worlds most beautiful golf courses around Stellenbosch, and about 20 excellent courses, all within an hours drive from Stellenbosch.
Oak Village is perfectly situated for traveling in any direction with easy access to all major routes in and around town. Cape Town International Airport is 35 minutes away and beautiful beaches and wine farms around town are within easy reach.

- Best land- and boat- based whale watching in the world (June to Dec) and shark cage diving or viewing only, for the less adventurous!
South Africa's Whale Coast stretches from Gansbaai in the south to St Helena Bay on the West Coast, with Hermanus in the centre. Courting, mating and calving whales frequent the waters between June and November. Most commonly seen is the Southern right whale, but Humpback and Bryde's whales have also been sighted.
Hermanus boasts some of the best land-based whale watching in the world. Walker Bay has become the nursery and breeding ground of the Southern Right Whale, and can be seen as close as 10 meters from shore, breaching, sailing, spy hopping and lob tailing and playing with their babies. Hermanus also boasts the world's only whale crier, who patrols the streets blowing his kelp horn and alerting you to the whereabouts of the whales.
Other activities to enjoy:
- The Cliff Path is a flat 12 km stretch of winding paths, some gravel, some concrete, through underbush, underneath Milkwood trees and over rocks – this is where you will come as close as a stone’s throw from whales!

Nantes-Vue
Paarl is based in the Western Cape, in the heart of the Cape Winelands of South Africa! It is well know for its relaxed environment, not to mention the many outstanding wine farms, and plenty of good food at the many outstanding restaurants.
